The young three-quarters of Bordeaux-Bègles Yoram Moefana, injured in a knee, had to forfeit the match against England on Saturday evening at the Stade de France, counting for the last day of the Six Nations Tournament, announced Monday the French Rugby Federation.
Moefana (21, 6 caps), after having had his first tenure against Scotland as a replacement for Toulon winger Gabin Villière, injured in the face, replaced the right wing, Friday evening in Cardiff, Damian Penaud , affected by Covid-19.
Consequently, the Clermontois Tani Vili (21 years old, 0 sel.) is selected to join the group of 42 players from the XV of France, said the FFR in a press release.
Damian Penaud (25, 31 caps, Clermont) and second line Romain Taofifenua (31, 32 caps Lyon), who learned Wednesday morning while packing their bags for Wales that they were positive for Covid- 19, are present in the group.
Back from Wales, where they dominated the Leek XV 13 to 9, the Blues met on Sunday evening in Marcoussis (Essonne) to prepare for their match against the English.
