Danny Abdia speaks after the loss to Golden State (the Wizards' official website in Israel)

Danny Abdia hopes the least good period is behind him.

The Israeli forward returned to show good ability tonight (Monday to Tuesday) in Washington's 126: 112 loss to Golden State, and after three games without points and with a sharp drop in the number of minutes, finished 29 minutes off the bench with 13 points (4 of 8 from the field, 2 of 4 of three, 3 of 5 from penalties), 4 assists, two rebounds and a steal.

At the end of Abdia he said he experienced difficulty in his personal life, which affected his ability on the parquet.

"There was something in the last week that made me down, we didn't get into it too much. I didn't feel good, I thought too much and they saw it about me," he revealed.

"In the end I tried to think to myself that it's another step, another test. It happens to everyone. I play all the games and want to be mentally and physically ready all the time, and it's not easy. I'm also a human being, I go through things, but I'm glad I have a loving environment. "And I support myself. Sometimes I don't have to think too much. I know how to play basketball, and for me it's all in my head. When my head is clear of thoughts, I just go on the court and have fun."

Abdia said that what helped him recover before the game was a personal shooting practice he conducted with his coaches.

"There are times when you don't feel like it, but you have to keep pushing forward. The day before the game I did personal shooting practice after training, and the coaches helped me a lot to regain confidence. Sometimes that's all you need. I said to myself, 'You have to keep going and play hard. "I play basketball for a long time, and sometimes I just need to relax. I'm in the NBA for a reason, and I know I'm getting better.

According to Abdia, the standards he sets for himself help him on the one hand push himself to the edge, and on the other hand can also undermine his confidence.

"I come from a culture of people who are very hard on themselves. I'm half Serb, and we're known for playing with a lot of emotion. Sometimes it happens to me - I think too much, I play bad, I think why it happens. But it's a negative thing, because I know "Playing basketball, and trying to remind myself of it all the time. I try not to be so hard on myself."

Abdia has already recorded 67 appearances this season, and rarely misses games.

According to him, this is a load that does not exist in Europe, and to which he has not yet become accustomed.

"I had injuries, but I never wanted to rest. My goal is to play every game, especially after last season I missed the last part of the year. I worked hard on my body so I could play every game, and one of my big goals is to play every game. "It's not mentally easy, I've never played so many games, and sometimes it hurts me. I'm not used to it. But it's part of the NBA, you have to learn how to maintain your body and energies."

Washington Wes Ansled Jr. also had warm words about her loss.

"He was much better today, much calmer. He threw an airball and didn't let it affect him or challenge him, and that's a good sign. He has to keep playing with confidence, playing his game, that way he will be fine."

Kristaps Forzingis also addressed the challenging period of her loss, and gave him some tips to follow.

"He handled it well. Young players have a tendency to think too much, and sometimes have to simplify everything, work even harder outside of training hours, and just play freely on the pitch," said the Latvian, who scored 25 points tonight.

"He has to trust your instincts and abilities, and live with the results. You have to disconnect, you have to learn not to think about basketball 24/7, because it can drive you crazy."
