St. Pauli wins the top game, Aue misses important points in the relegation battle.

The Friday evening games in the second division were decided in the second half.

In a first half consisting mainly of duels and bad passes, Heidenheim were the better team.

Stefan Schimmer (22nd minute) and Christian Kühlwetter (30th) missed the two best opportunities of the first half for the guests.

Shortly after the restart, something worth mentioning came from the hosts: Simon Makienok turned around his opponent and forced Kevin Müller to put up a strong foot defense in the Heidenheim goal (48').

St. Pauli are now better and consequently also with the opening goal: After a cross from the left wing, Heidenheim lost sight of Daniel-Kofi Kyereh, who was able to shoot in at the second post from five meters (67th).

Tim Kleindienst missed out on a potential equaliser, hitting the crossbar with a header (83').

Coach Timo Schultz's team jumps to first place for at least 24 hours with 51 points.

On Saturday evening at 8.30 p.m. there will be a top game between Werder Bremen and Darmstadt 98 (48 points each), in the afternoon at 1.30 p.m. Hamburger SV (41 points with a game behind) will play Fortuna Düsseldorf, FC Schalke 04 (44) welcomes Hannover 96 with the new coach Mike Büskens. On Sunday (1.30 p.m.) 1. FC Nürnberg (45) meet the 16th table.

Dynamo Dresden.

Karlsruher SC can plan for another year in the second division: After the success at Erzgebirge Aue, KSC, without a win in three games, has 37 points on their account, while Aue, as penultimate, has lost the chance to move closer towards relegation rank.

The hosts had more of the game in the first half, but conceded the 0-1 after the change with the first dangerous goal from the guests: striker Philipp Hofmann calmly accepted a cross and casually pushed the ball from seven meters into the corner (54th).

It was his 15th goal of this second division season.

Marvin Wanitzek increased in front of 6619 spectators with a long-range shot (67th), Marc Lorenz scored to 3:0 (85th) for KSC.

There are now three important games for Aue: At home against Ingolstadt and Hannover and in between away games in the catch-up game at HSV, Pavel Dotchev's team must score points in order to reduce the eight-point deficit to Dynamo Dresden.
