After 15 years of professional football, 207 Bundesliga and ten international matches: Christian Träsch is now hot for the district league.
We speak to the ex-national player in a live interview.
Gerolfing - Christian Träsch is back in Germany.
After a year and a half in Dubai, he is back in the Ingolstadt area.
And of course he doesn't let his feet off the ball either. But Träsch (34) ended his professional career.
He starts for FC Gerolfing in the district league.
First competitive game on March 20th.
The live interview about his amateur debut a day later: on March 21 at 10:00 a.m.
Christian Träsch won the DFB Cup with VfL Wolfsburg in 2015.
He also brings the experience of 207 Bundesliga and ten international matches to FC Gerolfing.
His best friend from childhood days has now steered him into the district league.
Träsch obviously feels at home there and wants to join the team in the district league.
Christian Träsch made the jump: What does a young player need to be able to do to make it as a professional?
“We have some young, talented players on board who could well play higher.
Maybe I can help tease a little something out of one or the other,” said Träsch in an interview with Soccer Suburb.
After 15 years of professional football, Christian Träsch can certainly give the district league talents something to take with them.
He himself switched from MTV Ingolstadt to the youth department of TSV 1860 Munich as a B youth.
From there it went on to VfB Stuttgart.
What does a young player need to bring with them to make it into professional football?
Christian Träsch will certainly have one or two tips ready.
Christian Träsch in a live interview: This is how the ex-professional experiences the amateur sector
As a former professional in Upper Bavarian amateur football, Träsch is currently in the best of company.
Among others, Korbinian Vollmann, Karl-Heinz Lappe, Marvin Matip and the Bender twins kick between district class and state league.
How does a former star experience the amateur sector?
Is the difference on the pitch as big as you imagine as a spectator?
"Here I can cycle to training," says Träsch, at least happily.
