At the UEFA* headquarters in Switzerland, the upcoming knockout round of the premier class will be drawn (here in the live ticker) before it goes seamlessly to the Europa League draw.

Well-known teams prevailed in the round of 16, which is why the fans can look forward to big duels.

Europa League 2021/22: These teams are in the quarter-finals

RB Leipzig were the only team not to qualify for the Round of 16 as opponents Spartak Moscow were banned from the UEFA competition amid Russia's military attack on Ukraine.

In an exciting second leg, Eintracht Frankfurt only beat Betis Sevillla 1-1 in added time after extra time.

The Hessians won the first leg 2-1.

Bayer Leverkusen were the only German participants to fail in the round of 16. Atalanta Bergamo decided the game in the last minute and advanced to the next round.

Europa League: Quarter-final draw in the live ticker – Sevilla FC missed the final in their own living room

In addition to the two German teams and the northern Italians, Premier League representatives West Ham United prevailed against record winners* FC Sevilla, and the Andalusians will miss their home game in the final, which takes place on May 18 at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.

French side Olympique Lyon are also in the quarter-finals after a 1-0 win followed by a draw against FC Porto in the second leg.

The biggest name in the competition is FC Barcelona*, who narrowly beat Galatasaray 2-1 after going 0-0 down in the first leg.

In addition, Sporting Braga defeated AS Monaco and is also in the next round, BVB conquerors Glasgow Rangers drew despite a defeat in the second leg at Red Star Belgrade.

The upcoming draw will determine who will face off on April 7th and 14th.

Clubs from the same football association are allowed to compete against each other in the quarter-finals, which would make a German duel possible.

In addition, the club that is drawn first has home advantage in the first game.
