Thomas Müller: reaction to FC Bayern's quarter-final draw in the Champions League

Thomas Müller has often emphasized in the past that the Champions League is the biggest motivation for the professionals at FC Bayern.

That's why it's worth playing football.

The original Bavarian can hardly wait until the Champions League anthem sounds again.

The last night in the Champions League should still be fondly remembered by every Bayern fan.

FC Bayern overran RB Salzburg 7-1 in the round of 16 second leg in the Allianz Arena and marched confidently into the quarter-finals.

Müller wants more of that.

At the beginning of April (April 5th/6th) they will be away against FC Villarreal.

"We're looking forward to Villarreal, it won't be easy.

You may have seen them against Juventus last Wednesday," said the FCB leader on Instagram in the best English.

Müller should have warned his teammates about the unpredictable opponent.

"We have to fight to the last minute for every ball. Of course we want to go through to the next round," said Müller.

Together with his teammates, he watched the draw for the quarter-finals on Säbener Straße.

Before that, the final training session for the Bundesliga home game against Union Berlin took place on Saturday.

Thomas Müller watches Villarreal in the Champions League together with his dog Murmel

Müller is already looking forward to the duels with Villarreal.

"The Champions League feeling is always nice.

Knock-out stage, ladies and gentlemen!" (In German: "The Champions League feeling is always nice. The knockout phase has begun, ladies and gentlemen!"), Müller calls his fans at the end of his Instagram message.

Müller has already analyzed the upcoming opponent.

Together with his Foxred Labrador Murmel, the animal lover made himself comfortable on the sofa on Wednesday and watched the Champions League on his laptop.

"I love to enjoy Champions League nights with real experts like Murmel," Müller wrote about a photo with the dog.

"It's good that I watched the Villarreal game on Wednesday with Murmel," said Müller after the draw.

FC Bayern: Müller's message didn't bring any luck recently - will it work this time with a marble?

FC Bayern is the clear favorite in the duels with Villarreal.

Last year, Bayern failed in the quarter-finals at Paris St. Germain, even then Müller reported euphorically to the fans in advance.

But: In contrast to PSG, Villarreal is a clear outsider and maybe this time the panel of experts with Murmel will bring luck.
