After UEFA, FIFA.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport has just dismissed the Russian Football Federation once again this Friday noon.
This confirms the decision to exclude the Russian team from the World Cup.
This allows Poland, which was to face Russia in the semi-final of the play-offs on March 24, to qualify directly for the final, whose opponent will be Sweden or the Czech Republic.
The “Sbornaia” had been excluded at the beginning of March by the International Federation, following the invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine.

For Russia this decision is a new obstacle to overcome, after the decision of the CAS which had already confirmed the exclusion of European clubs from UEFA competitions, including Spartak Moscow which was to play in the round of 16 of the Europa League against Leipzig.
Russian football is therefore in turmoil, although the national championship continues.
But foreign players playing in Russia have been allowed to leave their clubs to play in safer countries at least until the end of the season.
As for the selection, it has announced a list for the international matches in March, but has not yet found an opponent to face.
