The footballers of FC Bayern Munich have at least temporarily taken over the top of the Bundesliga table.
In the top game against Eintracht Frankfurt, the defending champions held their ground 4-2 (1-2) on Friday evening.
After an early lead thanks to Maximiliane Rall's goal (5th minute), the hosts at FC bayern Campus initially fell 2-1 behind.
But Lea Schüller (51'), Viviane Asseyi (79') and Jovana Damnjanovic in added time led their team to victory with more goals.
Laura Freigang (27th) and Nicole Anyomi (42nd) scored for third-placed Frankfurt, who won the first leg 3-2.
VfL Wolfsburg meets TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on Saturday and can overtake Munich again with a win.
A highlight in the club's history is coming up for the Munich women next Tuesday (6.45 p.m.): In the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League, the FCB women will meet Paris Saint-Germain at home - they are playing in the Allianz Arena for the first time, already more more than 10,000 tickets have already been sold for the game.
