The Israeli women's hockey team will take off today (Sunday) ahead of the historic performance at the World Championships, at the Pioneer Ice Hall in Belgrade, Serbia.
According to the draw for the match order for the 3rd level championship, the first ever game of the team led by the pair of coaches Boris Mendel and Boris Kotler, will meet in House B the blue and whites against Bosnia, this coming Tuesday, at 15:00 Israel time.
The second game at home will be against Estonia (Wednesday, 15:00), with the team estimating that this is the key game, with only the first in each house advancing to the next level and locking the championship, in a meeting on Friday (18:30) against host Serbia.
The squad consists of 17 players and two goalkeepers who were gathered all over the country, when yesterday, the team held the concluding training at the Holon Ice Hall.
Remember, this is a new team that has been formed in recent months only and plays in the National Men's League.
The one who will be absent from the championship is the Iranian team, as first reported in "Israel Today", which retired as soon as Israel registered, in order to avoid one meeting with the other.
