Ice pirates want second place

ESC Dorfen would like to say goodbye to the fans of the season with a good performance and a win.

Dorfen – For the last game of the relegation round, the puck hunters of ESC Dorfen have VfE Ulm/Neu-Neu-Ulm as guests in the Dr.Rudolf-Halle this Sunday at 5.30 p.m.

The Devils team, like all other teams, is relieved of all worries about relegation after there has been no relegation this season, but tomorrow's Dorfen guests - like the ESC and Schweinfurt - are still speculating on second place behind the Erding Gladiators.

Most recently, the Danube Devils were fifth after nine games with 15 points and a goal difference of 43:39.

However, the team of interim coach Martin Jainz, who replaced Robert Linke a few weeks ago, still had a chance of nine points with the game in Geretsried on Friday and on Sunday, March 25, at home against Pfaffenhofen.

So, to be on the safe side, the Ice Pirates need a win at the end of the season against Ulm/Neu-Ulm to finally secure second place behind Erding.

Encouragement enough for the ice pirates to get down to business again with full concentration and discipline, if only for the sake of their home crowd - but also in accordance with the indispensable instructions of their coach Franz Steer.
