The Al-Wafa Equestrian Show Jumping Tournament kicked off today in its twenty-sixth edition on the grounds of Al-Basel Club in Dimas, rural Damascus, with the participation of riders of various categories.
In a speech during the opening, the head of the Equestrian Federation, Atef Al-Zeibaq, pointed out the importance of this course and the great position it holds among Syrian riders, and the great efforts being made to keep equestrian going.
Al-Zaybak pointed to the great care that our knights and knights receive, the distinguished level of skill they enjoy, and the remarkable results they achieved in many tournaments, through which they raised the flag of the nation high.
The results of the first day’s competitions resulted in the jockey Ahmed Hamsho winning first place in the “Big Tour” category with a time of 22.27 seconds, the jockey Sham Al-Assad in second place with a time of 22.29 seconds, and the jockey Laith Al-Ali third with a time of 22.82 seconds, the jockey Hammam Al-Khouli fourth with a time of 23.41 seconds, and the jockey Ahmed Hamsho with a time of 23.66 seconds Share it on another horse.
In the "Midum Tour" category, the competition ended with the jockey Ali Issa first with 53.28 seconds, followed by the jockey Jodi Nizam with 54.73 seconds, then the jockey Hammam Shehab with 58.04 seconds, then the jockey Mahmoud Al-Masry with 58.43 seconds and fifth, the jockey Hani Badran came with 70.72 seconds.
While the jockey Osama Subaie led the competitions in the “Small Tour” category with 24.06 seconds, leaving the runner-up to Ghaly Al-Zeibaq with 25.18 seconds, and the jockey Muhammad Baali in third place with 26.55 seconds, and the jockey Muhammad Khatib fourth with 28.33 seconds and the jockey Ghali Al-Zeibq fifth with 28.77 seconds with his participation on a horse else.
The tournament competitions will be completed tomorrow, with the “Small Tour” and “Big Tour” competitions being held according to the arbitration system for one “speed” against time, while the “Medium Tour” match will be held according to the two-stage system. As for the Tour, the tournament will conclude next Wednesday with the final competitions for the “Small, Medium and Big” categories.
The opening of the session was attended by Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Eng. Hussein Makhlouf, Minister of Tourism, Mohamed Rami Martini, and Director of the Physical Preparation and Sports Department in the Army and Armed Forces, Major General Mohsen Abbas.
