Page-Relo goes into Dupont mode

For his second tenure in the Top 14, the young scrum half Martin Page-Relo distinguished himself during Toulouse's victory against Montpellier this Sunday evening (35-10).

The replacement for Antoine Dupont has perfectly replaced the current captain of the XV of France, named among the best players of the Tournament.

After a first period of high flight, he scored his first try in the league in the second period.

Martin Page-Relo fits perfectly inside to flatten Stade Toulousain's third try (58th).

He leaves to applause in the 67th minute of play. Baptiste Germain planted his fifth try (79th).

The Toulouse rear triangle is wreaking havoc

Toulouse has regained its game of yesteryear.

To animate its attacks, the Stadium was able to count on its rear triangle.

Juan Cruz Mallia, established on the right, scored his team's first try after 47 seconds of play. In the second period, it was veteran Maxime Médard who scored the second try (44th).

The 35-year-old plays the shot perfectly and takes advantage of Dimitri Delibes' call to flatten in force.

A quarter of an hour later (58th), it is precisely the left winger who shifts Martin Page Relo in a perfect two-against-one.

Lucas Tauzin then scored the fourth try after another great breakthrough from Dimitri Delibes.

118 meters gained ball in hand for the 23-year-old French winger, match record.

Montpellier imprecise in attack

The MHR will be able to harbor regrets at the end of this trip after two starts of failed periods.

In attack, Philippe Saint-André's players were too imprecise.

They thought they came back to the score in the 10th thanks to a try from Louis Foursans-Bourdette but a forward when the ball was snatched canceled the try.

They occupied 63% of the field without being really dangerous, against a well-placed Toulouse defense.

Also imprecise in touch, the Montpellier residents lost three out of seven shots.

Bouthier exceeded

Two fatal actions for Anthony Bouthier at the start of the match.

He is my last defender taken from behind on the try of Juan Cruz Mallia (1st) and allows the locals to take the advantage.

He has the opportunity to catch up a few minutes later but is wrong in his choice.

The French rear plays badly during a two-against-one (5th) and forgets to shift his winger before being caught by the first scorer of this match.

Half an hour into the game (32nd), the 15th Montpellier player tried the drop but completely missed his attempt.

He was replaced in the 56th minute of play.

Toulouse can have regrets

Stade Toulousain largely wins 35-10 and with the bonus but can still harbor regrets.

Ugo Mola's players were too imprecise in the first period, notably committing eight forwards in the first half hour of play. Zack Holmes was also imprecise on foot.

The one-day opener missed six kicking points on three failed conversions.

He is content with a 4/7 in front of goal, he who also missed a drop before the break (40th).
