Federico Martin Aramburu was shot dead at the age of 42 in Paris on Saturday at dawn, after an altercation in a bar in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, in the 6th arrondissement.

Two men suspected of having fired the shots
After a "dispute" between two groups of people at Le Mabillon bar, the groups were separated by bouncers, according to a police source, but the suspects "returned shortly afterwards with a vehicle and fired shots".
"Several impacts" of bullets were noted on the spot, added a source close to the investigation and the athlete died on the spot as a result of these injuries.
According to the first elements, two men would have fired shots.
A third person, a woman who was driving the vehicle, is also among the suspects.

Federico Martin Aramburu, born in 1980, former center or winger for Biarritz (2004-2006), Perpignan (2006-2008) or Dax (2008-2010), had 22 selections with Argentina.
He had also been president of the Socios du BO (Biarritz Olympique supporters) between 2015 and 2018 and had sat as such on the board of directors of the Basque club with which he had twice won the Top 14 (2005, 2006).
Aramburu also had two appearances in the 2007 World Cup, which finished third to Pumas.
Since retiring from sport, he still lived in Biarritz and worked for a tourism company.
