Erik Lesser has ended his biathlon career, but before that he caused a bang.

He won the pursuit, which cost TV expert Roesch his hair.

Oslo – The last biathlon competitions of the season took place this weekend at the famous Holmenkollen.

After the strenuous months and the highlight of the Olympics, another nice show, especially for the athletes who are retiring.

One of them: Erik Lesser from Germany, who even caused a bang.

The 33-year-old announced that the races in the Norwegian capital will be the last of his career.

The two-time Olympic silver medalist and double world champion can look back on a successful career.

He shared the trail with many companions - including Marius Roesch, who now sits behind the microphone at Eurosport.

Together with Siggi Heinrich, he guides the fans on the TV through the winter sports season.

And then he let himself be carried away into a bet that he later had to redeem: it was about his hairstyle.

The statement that was Roesch's undoing: "If Erik makes it onto the podium today, I'll cut myself bald".

Well, said, done.

After a strong fifth place in the sprint, Lesser got an excellent starting position for the pursuit, which he even won.

Of course, Lesser was also impressed by the campaign.

On the one hand, the athlete is known for speaking his mind clearly and did not hold back with his criticism of the Beijing Olympics.

On the other hand, Lesser also has a sense of humor and happily documented the Roesch result in his Instagram story.

He took the expert's original videos and shared them again with his fans.

While Roesch still has to get used to his hairstyle, Lesser already has a plan for the short term: "Go home, do the laundry, two weeks vacation and chill hard with the family."

Not only Lesser, who finished fourth again in the very last race, ended his career, many athletes drew a line.
