FC Bayern: Looking for a right-back as a counterpart for Davies
FC Bayern Munich has been looking for a suitable candidate for many years.
The right-back has been an open construction site since Philipp Lahm retired in 2017.
Initially, a suitable successor was found in Joshua Kimmich, but he is now much more important as a boss in midfield.
Benjamin Pavard did a good job.
However, the trained central defender is drawn to the center of defence.
Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann would like a technically adept sprinter like Alphonso Davies on the left anyway.
Bouna Sarr, who moved to Munich in late summer 2020, has not yet been able to demonstrate these requirements at a high level.

FC Bayern on Pedro Porro: Sporting Lisbon wants to make a profit with resale in the summer
Nagelsmann's wish could finally come true for the new season.
According to tz
information , FC Bayern is
hot for Spanish right-back Pedro Porro, who plays for top club Sporting Lisbon in Portugal.
The 22-year-old is a guy like Angeliño.
The Spaniard drew attention to himself at RB Leipzig on the left wing with his offensive drive.
Porro is owned by Manchester City and has been on loan to Sporting since 2020. However, the Portuguese champions have a purchase option and would like to activate it in order to be able to make a profit from a resale in the summer. That could bring FC Bayern on the scene.
Transfer News: FC Bayern wants Porro – fee too high?
The Spanish sports newspaper
As
also reports on FC Bayern's interest in Porro.
Accordingly, the right-back is on the shortlist of the German record champions and is being closely followed by the scouting department.
However, the Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are also said to be working on a transfer.
It could be problematic in terms of transfer fee.
Porro already cost twelve million euros when he switched from Girona to Manchester City in the summer of 2019, and according to
transfermarkt.de
the purchase option should now be EUR 8.5 million.
Sporting is said to be demanding at least 30 million.
FC Bayern: Right-back search never ends
That could be too expensive for FC Bayern.
Sport1
recently reported
that Bayern's pain threshold should be 20 million.
Brazzo and his scouts are likely to have other, less expensive alternatives on their list.
The search for a right-back is ongoing.
