Ebersberg's Bayernliga handball players have secured a place in the top four after an unchallenged 28:16 victory at SV Laim

Ebersberg

– With a brilliant 28:16 victory at SV Laim, the handball women of TSV EBE Forst United have already secured their place in the promotion round of the Bayernliga.

From the end of April they will therefore play in “playoff mode” for entry into the 3rd Bundesliga.

However, normality and continuity are a long way off this season.

The virus keeps posing new challenges for all teams.

Just like last Friday.

While Laim's coach Christian Sorger had to cope with many failures in the previous weeks, Ebersberg was hit this week: With Steffi Pollak, Lucie Mäsel, Anna Dybilasz, goalkeeper Silvia Morath and goalkeeping coach Jonas Habdank, some members of the squad were missing, but they were strengthened by the Bayernliga -A-Juniors was broad enough.

Helena Lettl, Franzi Ebenkofler and goalkeeper Vanda Angyal stepped in to complete the ranks.

The defense presented itself well despite the unusual formation.

The offensive orientation, designed for ball wins and speed play, had an impressive effect.

Forst United advanced via Theresa and Helena Lettl, but Laim was able to follow suit (2:2).

Then left winger Vivien Schweizer started like a whirlwind and ensured a four-goal run, which Christina Schweiger crowned with a nice goal to make it 7:2 (11th).

Ebersberg's goalkeeper Elena Czeslik saved everything there was to save.

The hosts didn't have much to counter the pressure and so the gap over Charlotte Paulus, Franzi Ebenkofler and the fast Lara Lau continued to grow (14:6/24.).

At half time it was 16:9 for United.

In section two, a game developed that was characterized by ups and downs.

Although the distance to Laim was always safe, the cogwheels sometimes didn't mesh quite as well as they did in the first half.

Untested constellations often played together here.

There was also a problem in the exploitation of chances, but opportunities were always created.

Lara Becher and Jasmin Alnajjar also entered the list of goalscorers.

Franzi Neumaier took the helm on Laim's side, putting herself and her teammates in good positions.

Nevertheless, the guests' will to win was unbroken.

Goalkeeper Vanda Angyal distinguished herself with beautiful saves.

In the end, the scoreboard showed an unchallenged 28:16.

The Ebersberg handball players celebrated together with their fans the early entry into the promotion round to the 3rd league.

"Everything worked out today," said a happy Vivien Schweizer, who contributed eight goals to the success: "We really wanted it, especially for those who unfortunately couldn't be there!" Before the promotion round there are still games for her and her team in Freising (March 27) and against Ismaning (April 3).
