The Israel Police announced this morning (Monday) that in a game that took place yesterday (Sunday) at Sami Ofer in Haifa, the police noticed a fan who violated the order during the game in a way that attacked another fan.
During a search conducted by the police on the same fan after another fan was attacked, the police grabbed three knives with which he entered the stadium and confiscated them.
The police arrested the fan, a 40-year-old resident of Tirat Carmel, for questioning at the city police station.
It was also reported that the police intend to request this morning to extend the suspect's detention in the Magistrate's Court in Haifa.
The police said: "The Israel Police will act harshly against any case of violence and disorder and will bring to justice those who choose to turn the sports experience into a violent event."
