New Australian champion Rafael Nadal was arrested early Monday morning when he surprisingly lost in the Indian Wells final to Taylor Fritz 6-3, 7-6.
The Mallorca bull, who was a clear favorite before the rise to tackle, was in pain and needed medical intervention to complete both systems.
"Obviously it was not my day, but I tried to do everything I could," Nadal admitted at the end. "In Australia he showed great ability. He has a lot of experience and I have no doubt he will just take off."

The Spaniard, who ruined his perfect balance in 2022 which stood at 0:20 before the game, explained what made him lose the game: "I must admit I had pain and breathing problems, I felt something sharp in the ribs, it does not seem to me that it is still possible to know what the problem is. "I felt strange punctures in my body, the pain even managed to make me a little dizzy. This pain affected my breathing just like someone stabbing you."
