Mauricio Pochettino in Paris, stop or again?
According to the latest echoes, the position of the 50-year-old Argentine coach is not a priori threatened in the coming days.
And this despite the elimination in the Champions League against Real (3-1), and the debacle in Monaco (3-0) on Sunday.
However, it is difficult to imagine him leaving for a round in 2022-23 and thus honoring his last year of contract… Before cutting off the head of their coach, in place since January 2021, the Parisian leaders will however have to do their accounts.

If he remains less well paid than Diego Simeone (Atlético, €3.33m gross monthly), Pep Guardiola (Man. City, €1.89m), Jürgen Klopp (Liverpool, €1.49m), Antonio Conte (Tottenham, €1.49m) or Max Allegri (Juventus, €1.17m), the 50-year-old Argentine technician is well ahead of his Ligue 1 colleagues with €1.1m gross monthly in the capital, against for example 330,000 euros for Jorge Sampaoli (Marseille) and Christophe Galtier (Nice) and 250,000 for Peter Bosz (Lyon).

His departure would therefore cost around fifteen million euros to Paris Saint-Germain including charges, the two parties being linked until 2023. In fact, it is rather a sum of 20 million euros which would evaporate.
In addition to Mauricio Pochettino, it would indeed be necessary to part with his four assistants, Jesus Pérez (around €80,000 gross monthly), Miguel D'Agostino, Toni Jiménez (€50,000) and his son, Sebastiano Pochettino (€20,000).
Clearly, it would not be a trivial expense for a PSG which is already very largely in deficit (200 M€?), which cannot sell and which saw its profitable career in C1 stopped in the round of 16.
A premature exit from the track which, among other things, seems to order the departure of Mauricio Pochettino and his staff, even if the former Tottenham coach declared himself still recently open to the idea of continuing on the Parisian bench, he who has yet flirted with Real Madrid and Manchester United in recent months according to various sources.
