Surprising, fast, controversial - you decide.
Mark Obermars was officially introduced today (Monday) as Antwerp's new professional director, less than two months after leaving Ajax.
"My departure from Ajax was very unfortunate," the new professional director said at the press conference.
"I had to move on and move on, and that's what I will do now. I want to leave this episode behind, and start over here. What happened at Ajax, will not happen again."
Next to him sat Antwerp manager Sven Jacques, defending the club's new staff member: "We are here to give people a chance. We talked not only with the women with us, but the anger of the whole team. Obermars matches our values and standards."
Overmars right now: "I want to leave the Ajax chapter behind me and start a new chapter here. I promise that what happened at Ajax will not happen again."

As you may recall, less than two months ago, an exciting affair was uncovered in the Netherlands, at the center of which Obermars was accused of a series of sexual harassment of facts at his former club, Ajax.
