Even the two-point deduction, which was confirmed shortly before the trip to Wiesbaden, did not have a negative effect on Türkgücü's fighting spirit and morale.

Munich

- Although the Perlacher lost again after two wins in a row, Andreas Heraf was impressed by the defensiveness of his team, despite the narrow 1-0 defeat.

"I'm very, very proud because we're really here with the last squad," said the Viennese after the final whistle in Wiesbaden: "You can only take your hat off to how the boys presented themselves, and I do that."

What's next for the insolvency club from the east of Munich?

Still highly uncertain.

Despite the appeal against part two of the DFB ban, the deduction of a further nine points, there is little hope that Türkgücü will be able to finish (and finance) the season.

As a first measure before the week of truth, Heraf gave his people three days off.

The next important date is not until Thursday, when insolvency administrator Max Liebig will speak to the workforce.

"In the works meeting we are told what's going on," Heraf reported: "Whether it's going to continue, whether it's over, whatever."

Should Türkgücü be out after the international break, it will be clear from the last appearance in Wiesbaden that goalkeeper Franco Flückiger in particular has what it takes for higher tasks.

The 31-year-old made many good saves as usual, but was powerless when Johannes Wurtz decided the game with a textbook header.
