Lattakia Police Club held a physical strength championship for young men and women and universities in the weightlifting hall at Al-Basel Stadium in Lattakia in preparation for the Republic Championship.
The weight championship in the youth category was won by Hassan Dhala with a weight of 53 kg, Omar Yuzbashi with a weight of 59 kg, Ibrahim Mahmoud with a weight of 66 kg and Jumaa Khalo with a weight of 74 kg, Haider Ghosoun with a weight of 83 kg, Tariq Ghadeer with a weight of 93 kg and Amer Abu Shanab with a weight of 105 kg and in the universities category Laith Dakhil with a weight of 93 kg and Samer Bodour weighs 74 kg.
The director of Latakia Police Club, Haider Rajoub, indicated in a statement to SANA that the aim of the tournament is to stand on the level of players to select the best among them to join the Police Club team, which will participate in the upcoming Republic Championship scheduled for the twenty-ninth of this month in Damascus.
