After announcing the appointment, Ovadia told the official website: "I am happy and excited for the challenging role. From the first moment I felt connected to this great club. Ovadia, 51, was appointed director of the champion's youth department in June 2020, after being responsible for developing young players at all the clubs where he worked, and was entrusted with the process of transferring players from the youth to the senior team.
In addition, Ovadia was responsible for two years for the Center of Excellence at the team house in Shefayim, alongside his role on the professional team in the Olympic team together with Marco Belbul.
