The 2021/22 season is in full swing but Barcelona are thinking ahead and have already made their first signing for next season: In Italy it is reported that Frank Casilla, Milan's excellent back midfielder has already undergone medical tests at the club and signed a four-year contract, earning around 6.5 million euros per season.
Barcelona have been working hard on this deal because Cassia is coming on a free transfer and is set to be the heir to the legendary Busquets.
The Ivory Coast midfielder is in his fifth season at AC Milan and is a key screw in the team that is currently leading Serie A and is perhaps on its way to the championship.
Last season Cassia provided an impressive offensive product of 13 goals and Barcelona are building on him for many years also because of his relatively young age (25).
And what about the attack?
The club is toiling to bring a big name to the front.
Arling Holland is unlikely to come because of its high cost, with the number one target, at least according to Catalan "Sport", being Rafinha.

The 25-year-old Brazilian is Leeds' best player this season and has reportedly already signed a five-year contract with Barça, which is willing to pay the English 35 million euros transfer fee.
Since landing in England Maran, Rafinha has made 57 Premier League appearances and scored 15 goals (9 this season), including 12 assists.
He is on the rise in terms of his ability and was also taken into account by the Brazilian team that invited him to the squad.
Rafinha may arrive at the expense of Osman Dembele, with Barcelona suspecting the Frenchman, who refuses to extend his contract, is in advanced talks with Paris Saint-Germain. Eran Zehavi's friend of the Dutch PSV will in any case sell the wanted player, whose price is estimated at 35 million euros.

And that's not all.
After Messi leaves and Aguero retires, there may be another Argentine player at Barcelona next season.
Juventus striker Paolo Dybala will be a free agent in the summer and his agents want to arrange a team for him in the Spanish league.
The fact that Dybala will be free will greatly help the Catalans sew the move, but according to the publications Simeone's Atletico Madrid is also strong in the picture.
