Football referee Mike Dean announced this week his retirement at the end of the season after more than two decades and it was quite a shocking news not only for English football fans.
Although the 53-year-old Dean made his Premier League debut in September 2000 and has since played another 552 Premier League games in the Kingdom, he has barely left the UK and been credited with running major tournaments in the world, still becoming one of the world's best-known referees.
The reason?
A pretty strong fondness for pulling out cards, stretching players and quite a few bizarre moments he provided.
Dean actually pulled out more red cards than any other referee in the Premier League, 114 in 553 games, and also more yellow cards than any other referee - 2,026.
In case you were wondering, by the way, he is also the referee who whistled the most penalties - pointing to the penalty spot 184 times.
He may yet return next season as a screen referee, but in the summer he will hang the whistle after 22 years.

When Mike Dean hid the ball for Sergio Aguero
In February 2019 Sergio Aguero was still the undisputed star of Manchester City and was the incredible 0: 6 hero of the Citizens over Chelsea.

Although he did not have much to judge outside the kingdom, he did manage two games for Israeli teams - he was the main referee in Glatsray's 0: 6 over Maccabi Netanya in 2009 (and of course he pulled out two yellow and red cards) as well as the 3: 4 Of Maccabi Tel Aviv on Paris Saint-Germain in Bloomfield (where he picked up six yellow cards).
