On the way to the podium?
Maria Sniuk (16), the figure skater, is ranked 3rd out of 32 competitors after the short exercise, at the end of the first day of competitions at the European Winter Olympics for young people taking place in Vokti Finland.
Snyuk scored 53.52 points in the short exercise.
Lev Winokur (15 years old) who scored 61.49 points in the short exercise is ranked at the end of the day's competitions in 6th place out of 17 skaters.
Tomorrow the two will continue in the competition, in the long exercise, when both will compete in the last group of the highest scorers.

The European Winter Olympics for young people in Finland are attended by 1870 athletes from 49 countries.
At the World Figure Skating Championships in Montpellier, France today, Olympic duo Yevgeny Krasnopolsky and Hailey Cops finished the freestyle with 44.45 points, after a poor drill, but are expected to compete in the final on Friday.
