TSV Dorfen is a guest at SC Baldham-Vaterstetten during the week and would like to make up more ground on the top of the district league.
Dorfen – Three days after the dramatic last-minute win against SV Saaldorf, the next game is already coming up for TSV Dorfen.
Tonight at 8 p.m. Christoph Deissenböck's team has to prove itself at SC Baldham-Vaterstetten.
There, the Dorfener, who are still three games behind, want to make up more points on the top of the table in the district league east.
Dorfen's sporting director Markus Wetzel expects a "brutally difficult game".
He adds: "Baldhamer have won the last two games and are riding a wave of euphoria.
Of course they want to continue on this in the home game against us.” For Wetzel, the improving form of the opponent is mainly due to the change of coach, which came at exactly the right time.
During the winter break, SC was at the bottom of the table, after which the club fired coach Stefan Bürgermeier, who had only come on for Sebastian Kneißl at the start of the season.
He was replaced by Gedi Sugzda, who was released at VfB Hallbergmoos.
Success came back with him, now the SC is already on the relegation place.
“Baldham comes through unity, will and passion.
In addition, they have a strong striker in Roman Krumpholz, who recently scored twice.
We have to get that under control,” Wetzel knows, who is nevertheless self-confident.
"We have the same passion in our game, you could see that in the last game.
We never gave up and still turned a 0:2.”
It looks good in terms of personnel, the villagers only have to complain about a few failures.
Captain Andreas Hartl falls ill.
Jakob Gritto is probably not fit enough after the Corona quarantine.
According to Wetzel, Daniel Roppert, who has just joined the squad, is still in advanced training and will therefore not be there against Baldham.
Otherwise all players are available to coach Deißenböck.
The coach himself caused a stir on Sunday.
While celebrating the late winning goal against Saaldorf, he stumbled past the cheering cluster, which the club also published on Instagram.
"Of course we hope that he didn't get injured and that he can stand on the sidelines again against Baldham," said Wetzel with a grin.
