Anyone who has always wanted to play for Bayern Munich now has the chance: long hair, a mustache and sideburns are an advantage.

Munich – run up once for FC Bayern Munich*: Many football fans have this dream.

The reality is different.

The demands are already extremely high in the junior division, and of course the German record champions only want the greatest talents.

The competition is fierce from a young age.

Only the very few make it to the top.

Thomas Müller is a prime example.

At the age of ten he switched to the most successful club in Germany.

Now he's 32, has won every trophy imaginable and is still a top performer at Bayern Munich.

So Mueller did it.

Bastian Schweinsteiger and Philipp Lahm also went the long way from the Bayern youth to the pros.

If you are blessed with less footballing talent, you will only wear the FCB jersey as a fan - or as an extra!

TV series planned about the rise of FC Bayern Munich: "Good friends"

Because anyone who has always wanted to play for Bayern now has the chance: 100 footballers and more than 1,500 extras are needed for the shooting of a TV series about the rise of the club in the 1960s and 70s.

Interested parties can apply online (link with all information).

The series is called "Good Friends".

The main roles of Gerd Müller, Sepp Maier, Franz Beckenbauer, Paul Breitner and Uli Hoeneß are not cast in this way, but: The agency Eick ("Babylon Berlin") is looking for European-looking football players aged 18 to 32 who want to play their Impersonate teammates and opponents in different teams.

But there is still one hurdle: "Good footballers" are wanted - so a little talent is needed after all.

In addition, more than 1,500 extras are wanted for roles such as military police, referees, spectators, stewardesses and nannies.

The footballers will have up to 20 days of shooting in NRW and Bavaria.

Before the day of shooting, there will be a costume and make-up rehearsal in Cologne.

The application deadline is May 23, 2022. “All men and women between the ages of 0 and 80 who visually fit the Germany of the years 1964 to 1974 are invited,” says agency co-owner Burkhard Eick.

No-gos are: dyed or highlighted hair, sunbed tan, piercings and visible tattoos.
