Jenny Sims led Rishon LeZion to 69:77 over Elitzur Holon in the final and the first title in the history of the club


Hapoel Rishon LeZion won the state cup for women after defeating Elitzur Holon 69:77 in the final held tonight (Thursday) at the Kvutzat Shlomo Hall in Tel Aviv.

President Yitzhak Herzog awarded the Rishon LeZion players the first degree ever in the club's history.

After a close first half, Ziv Erez's players went up in a frenzy and closed out a story in a crushing third quarter.

Jenny Sims excelled and finished with 21 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds.

For Holon, it was the last game of the season, while the new trophy holder will continue next week's playoff semifinal series against Elitzur Ramla (1: 1), with the goal of completing a historic double.
