A winter sports dream couple that even celebrates success as a sporty duo?
Yes, Sabine Schöffmann and Alexander Payer even win the Mixed World Cup.
Vienna - The world of winter sports, away from the slopes and competitions, also revolves around the lovers who have met through or because of the sport.
Prominent examples are the alpine skiing stars Mikaela Shiffrin and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, the Germans Felix Neureuther and his Miriam (formerly Gössner) or the Swedish biathletes Martin Ponsilouma and Hanna Oeberg.

Like the Swedes Oeberg and Ponsilouma, the Austrians Sabine Schöffmann and Alexander Payer also compete together in mixed competitions.
Schöffmann and Payer are a couple off the slopes.
The two have been together for about five years.
Joint races in the Parallel Mixed World Cup are not uncommon.
At the end of the 2021/2022 season, they even won the mixed world cup together.
Sabine Schöffmann posted a jubilant photo from the competition in Berchtesgaden.
There she can be seen with her Alexander Payer on the pedestal with the small crystal ball.
"OUR first crystal globe" - "OUR first crystal globe," she captioned it, with the emphasis on "our."

Alexander Payer shared the same photo on his channel and wrote an emotional sentence: "Winning a crystal ball has always been my lifelong dream, but it's even nicer when I win it with my loved one.
Success is nicer when you can share it.” The two not only share sporting moments with their fans, but also private trips.

A winter sports couple was also on the road in the same competition at the Olympics.
But not together, but against each other in the skeleton discipline.
