TSV Peißenberg and SV Polling want to get out of the basement of the district league 1. Habach still has a chance of promotion.

The trio will start with home games.

County – Winter break is over.

For the trio from the district, the remaining nine or ten games in district league 1 are about collecting a lot of points in the fight for promotion or against relegation.

In slalom or giant slalom, after the first run, a position directly behind the top positions is an ideal starting point for launching an attack on first place in the second run.

The boys are fit to the point.”

However, the preparations for

Corona, other illnesses and injuries regularly thinned out the squad.

The same was partly true for the test match opponents, which is why some preparatory games had to be cancelled.

"It was all a bit tough," admitted SVP trainer Robert Färber.

"But those who were there in training really gave it their all," said Färber, who got a new assistant coach.

Michael Schöttl, who ended his active career during the winter break, switched to coaching.

Otherwise there were no changes at the SVP in terms of personnel.

"We have a good squad.

That's why I'm in good spirits to make a difference in the second half of the season," said Färber, whose team is ninth in the table, just above the line, which means relegation.

The aim is to "increase the gap to these places as quickly as possible", according to the Pollinger coach.

A good start in the home game on Sunday against SV Miesbach (2 p.m.) would also be an advantage.

"A good team that has delivered outstanding results in preparation," said Färber about the sixth-placed team, who had already caught up last week and lost 3-1 to new leaders Lenggries.

"They kept up for a long time," said Färber.

He expects a difficult course against Miesbach, who won the first leg 1-0.

Even more so because he has to complain about some failures.

“Not least because of that we are definitely not favourites.

But in a home game we always want to get something," said Färber.

Coach Florian Heringer's men, second to last, have to catch up four points behind in order to avoid relegation.

"Of course that's our goal, remaining in the district league." Heringer makes it clear that his squad is willing to roll up the field from behind.

To do that, things have to be better, especially on the offensive.

14 goals in the first half of the season was the second worst value in the league, which was only undercut by Bad Kohlgrub, who was at the bottom of the table.

Accordingly, Heringer trained intensively in the attacking game in preparation.

"The results of the test matches were okay," judged the TSV coach, although he too had to struggle with injuries and corona infections in the team.

"Like probably everyone," as Heringer noted.

His team got a new signing during the winter break in Michael Gladiator, who moved up from the A-Youth.

"He's doing his job very well," says Heringer, who is also supported by his new assistant coach Michael Stossberger.

This Saturday, FC Real Kreuth is waiting for the Peissenbergers in their own stadium as the first indicator (2 p.m.).

The current seventh in the table is the second best offensive in the league, so the TSV defense will be challenged right away.

Peißenberg lost the first leg 3-1, so there is a need to make amends.
