The adventure of the 3rd league is history for Türkgücü Munich.

The club must withdraw from game operations.

But in which league is it now?

Munich

- regional league?

Bayernliga?

C class?

Or does Türkgücü Munich not report at all after deregistering from playing in the 3rd division for the coming season?

After the former upstart's retirement, that's the all-important question on Heinrich-Wieland-Strasse.

The club announced on Thursday via press release that it will be decided in the coming weeks "whether and in which league Munich will restart in the 2022/23 season."

TSV 1860 took over the playing rights of the second team in 2017

The BFV regulations are actually clear.

If a team withdraws from the game, it loses the right to play.

The BFV confirmed this on request.

In plain language this means: If Türkgücü Munich reports a new team for the coming season, they will start in the lowest league like every club.

In Upper Bavaria this is the twelfth league, the C class.

But why was TSV 1860 Munich spared this step in 2017 when the lions were relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga and did not receive a license for the 3rd division?

The simple reason: the pros took over the playing rights of the second team, which was playing in the regional league at the time.

However, Türkgücü does not have a second team.

Türkgücü Munich: application for integration as a rescue?

However, there is still a small chance for the ex-third division club to prevent the fall into the C class.

If the club registers a team for the coming season, it can submit a so-called integration application.

This is where a decision is made as to whether a team above the C class can join.

This application would have to be well justified before the respective league committee and fed with valid arguments, says the BFV.

The chance that this will be granted is slim.

Such an application for integration had only recently been made by Türkgücü for the second team.

This was rejected.

Türkgücü Munich: Registration for the regional league by April 8th

In principle, the principle of equal treatment applies in this case.

However, with Türkgücü, the special interface between the professional and amateur sectors must also be taken into account.

However, the BFV will think twice about granting a possible application for integration and thus setting a precedent.

But now the ball is in Türkgücü's hands.

The club must position itself clearly and communicate what it wants.

The Perlachers received the documents for registering for the regional league.

The registration deadline is April 8th.

In addition, Türkgücü would have to submit the application for integration.

The respective committee decides whether this is then granted.

However, everything currently points to a restart in the C-Class or the complete disappearance of the club.
