With the participation of 134 male and female players, the Republic Championship competitions were concluded with Qawat Al-Ramy for men, young men, women and young women for clubs and sports houses organized by the Martial Arts Union at Al-Jalaa Sports Hall in Damascus.
In the youth category, the Aleppo Students Club team won 3 golds, 5 silvers and 6 bronzes, followed by the Golan Club team with 3 golds, one silver and one bronze, then Homs Police Club with one gold, one silver and three bronzes. In the men’s category, “Mix Art” team won first place with two golds. And two silvers, followed by the Homs police with gold, silver and bronze, and then Aleppo students with gold, silver and bronze.
Homs Police achieved first place in the women’s and young women’s category with two gold, silver and two bronze, followed by “The Youth House” with gold, silver and two bronze, then Al-Waqdah Club with one silver.
Vice-President of the Martial Arts Federation Ziad Ibrahim explained to SANA that this tournament, in which 15 clubs and sports houses participated, is the second official activity of the Federation after the Republic Championship for “Ju-Jitsu” for young and old, pointing out that it comes within the Federation’s plan to build a new generation of champions and heroines and an opportunity to select talent Training and refinement in preparation for the upcoming Arab and international participation.
At the end of the tournament, certificates and medals were distributed to the first-place winners, in the presence of the players’ families.
