Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies is making progress.

The Canadian will soon return fully to team training.

Munich – He is eagerly awaited: FC Bayern left-back Alphonso Davies is looking forward to the planned full return to team training.

"I'm happy to be back on Säbener Straße.

The regeneration is going well so far.

I don't have any problems with my muscles and heart, but I'm not at 100 percent - yet!"

Davies continues: "I'm just happy that I can train again and I'm ready for work," said the Canadian national soccer player in an interview published on the German record champions' website.

Bayern can therefore hope to be able to fall back on the fast winger soon.

During his absence, FCB repeatedly had problems filling the position adequately.

Davies has had heart trouble after contracting the coronavirus.

At the beginning of the year, signs of heart muscle inflammation were detected.

Last week he was able to complete part of the team training again.

"I give my best.

I work closely with the medical department and the rehabilitation staff.

And I train very, very hard with and without the ball, run a lot, do strength training.

I hope to be able to help the team again soon," said the 21-year-old.

Alphonso Davies opens up about his recovery time: 'I've been making a lot of music'

The past few weeks have been difficult for him.

“The last four to eight were very boring, hard on my head.

I made a lot of music in my studio.

My family stayed here for a long time and I visited my girlfriend in Paris once or twice.

And otherwise: wait, wait, wait..." said Davies.

His goals for the season are clear: When asked about the championship and the Champions League, he replied with "Win both!".

League leaders FC Bayern have to play at SC Freiburg after the international break on April 2nd.

With seven games to go before the end of the season in the Bundesliga, Munich have a six-point lead over pursuers Borussia Dortmund.

In the quarter-finals of the premier class, the Isarstadt team will meet FC Villarreal.
