Last May, during the "Guard of the Walls" operation, Israel striker Monas Dabour caused a great stir when he wrote a post that was interpreted by quite a few people as inciting on particularly tense days.
On May 8, 2021, during the riots in Jerusalem and following the clashes on the Temple Mount, Dabour posted a picture of the Dome of the Rock, quoting the Koran: "Do not think that Allah is turning a blind eye to the perpetrators of injustice, he is just waiting for Judgment Day."
Dabour's post led to angry reactions from the Israeli public and caused him not to be called up to the team for two friendly matches against Montenegro and Portugal.
After returning to the team and scoring a goal against the Faroe Islands, he received boos from the Israeli public.
Today (Tuesday) the affair between the Israeli crowd and the Hoffenheim striker continued, despite winning a double and returning the team to the game against Romania, which managed to lead 0: 2 at an early stage.
Dabour celebrated his goals but received shouts of contempt and curses from the crowd at the stadium in Netanya, against the background of the severe attack that took place today in Bnei Brak, which claimed the lives of five Israelis.
