The vice-president of the Federation waives some of his prerogatives and his indemnities. He will devote more time to the medical practice that he has just taken over in the Bordeaux region.

As Le Figaro revealed exclusively on Thursday, the vice-president of the FFR (since 2016) announced Monday evening, during the Steering Committee of the French Rugby Federation, that he was giving up some of his prerogatives and, by therefore, to his allowance of 12,000 euros per month.

Serge Simon remains in charge of high performance (the French teams), relations with the National Rugby League and those with France 2023, but abandons his caps as head of marketing, communication or international relations.

He justified these decisions by a professional choice and his desire to take care of a medical practice again in the Bordeaux region.

I can no longer be full-time at the Federation

,” he argued.
