About a month and a half after losing to them in the African Championship final, the Liverpool star and his friends once again saw the big rival celebrate at their expense on the way to Qatar

In early February the two best friends from Liverpool - Muhammad Salah and Sadio Mane - met in the final of the African Championship in Cameroon when

Senegal

were the ones to celebrate at the expense of the Pharaohs their first win in the Black Continent tournament.

Today (Tuesday) came another chapter in this rivalry when the teams met for a rematch in the playoffs for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

After 0: 1 to Egypt at home a few days ago, Senegal won by the same result after an early own goal by Ahmed Fathi (4).

The result lasted until the 90th minute, the teams went to extra time and did not find a decision in extra time.

In the penalty shootout, the first two kickers of each team missed, including Salah who kicked first in Egypt and fired over the goal.

Sadio Mana who kicked the winning penalty in the African Championship final, was once again the man to score the decisive penalty that lifted his team to the biggest tournament in the world to be held in November.

Another newcomer to the World Cup is

Ghana

who finished in a 1-1 draw with Nigeria and advanced thanks to an away goal.

Thomas Party scored in the 10th minute, William Trust Akong equalized on a penalty after 12 minutes, but the Super Eagles failed to turn the score around and for the first time since 2006 saw the World Cup on television.
