The whole world knew that Roman Abramovich had a difficult time last month, with the sanctions from the English government and the forced sale of Chelsea, but in the last day it has been revealed how dramatic and exciting the events he went through were.

When Abramovich was photographed at Ben Gurion Airport two weeks ago looking skinny and preoccupied, it is clear that he suffers from his status as an "outcast" due to his ties with Vladimir Putin.

But the details reveal that, among other things, there was also a confrontation with the Russian president.

48 hours after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Chelsea owner transferred the "management and care" of the club to his charity to "take care of the interests of the club, players, staff and fans".

On March 2, he put the club up for sale.

But in the meantime, a parallel drama has unfolded, which includes his mysterious role as an international diplomat, in which he allegedly underwent an attempted poisoning.

On February 28, four days after the outbreak of the war, Abramovich was in Belarus to "try to help" when diplomats from both sides met for the first time.

His spokesman claimed that "he was approached by the Ukrainian side for support in reaching a peaceful solution and has been trying to help ever since."

The Kremlin declined to comment.

The head of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zalansky's party confirmed Abramovich's involvement, but said he "has no idea who invited him."

Sources claimed that Ukrainian officials were looking for a "Russian-speaking Jew" to serve as a mediator.

Last week, Abramovich even presented Putin with a letter from Mazlanski, detailing his terms of peace.

But the Russian president told Abramovich to send an aggressive message to the Ukrainian leader: "Tell him I will eliminate them."

The oligarch's involvement has been warmly received in the past, prompting Ukrainian President Zelenksi to call US President Joe Biden and ask him to delay sanctions against him so that Abramovich can continue attempts to advance a peace deal.

Sources in Russia say Abramovich, whose mother Irina was born in Ukraine Determined to help end the bloody conflict after witnessing the effects of the war in Kiev, talks failed, and Russia rejected Ukraine's demands for a full withdrawal and another meeting was scheduled for March 3.

Abramovich was part of the delegation that met that day in Kiev. Experience symptoms of poisoning, including red and watery eyes and flaky skin.

The next day, the members of the negotiating delegation traveled from Kiev to Poland, to fly to Istanbul, where the informal talks were to continue.

The symptoms experienced were consistent with the symptoms of chemical weapon poisoning.

The claim was that he had been poisoned by extremist elements from Russia, who wanted to sabotage the peace process.

While Abramovich recovered and was reportedly receiving treatment in Turkey, his public image deteriorated.

The Chelsea owner has become a global allotment, and the sanctions he has suffered from the EU and the UK have caused him significant economic damage.

The tension over him is evident when on March 14 he was photographed in the departure lounge of Ben Gurion Airport.

His glorious private jet later took off for Turkey.

The next day the plane continued to Moscow, although it is not known if Abramovich was on it.

Since then, opposition in Moscow to his efforts to aid peace has been published.

Last Wednesday he flew to Russia, only to be sent by Putin to the Ukrainians with the chilling warning.

He returned to Turkey to pass on the news of the meeting to Rustem Omarov, Member of Parliament and Representative of Ukraine in talks.

It should be noted that despite his direct access to Putin, American intelligence sources question the extent of Abramovich's influence over the Russian president.
