Champion of France with Racing in 1990 and appointed deputy general manager of the club since 2018, Patrick Serrière will leave his post at the end of the season "for personal reasons".
The club announced the news on Tuesday in a press release.
“Champion of France with Racing 92 in 1990, Patrick Serrière perfectly knew how to transmit the values of the club and influence the discussions and decisions of the national rugby authorities.
He will always be at home at Racing 92”, explained the president of Ciel et Blanc Jacky Lorenzetti in a press release.
The 61-year-old "man-mountain" was in charge of all administrative matters and relayed President Jacky Lorenzetti to the institutions.
He will be replaced on July 1 by Dominique Serieys, current president of the Arena de La Défense.
As a result, the former president of the Girondins de Bordeaux Frédéric Longuépée is appointed president of the enclosure of Nanterre, where Racing evolves.
Regarding Longuépée, Lorenzetti praised “his knowledge of the sports and entertainment industry, his talent and his long operational experience” which are “tremendous assets to give new impetus to Paris La Défense Arena”.
Serieys has been president of the Arena for three years, "the largest indoor performance hall in Europe" according to the club.
