BFV new elections: Schauer new chairman for the Donau-Isar game group

Moosburg

- "We have to become more female, we cannot afford to leave women and girls out in the long run," said BFV President Rainer Koch in his video message to the Donau/Isar district council.

Words were followed by deeds, and the nearly 120 club delegates in the Moosburg town hall promptly elected a woman, Elisabeth Bauer, to be the new district chairwoman.

The previous chairman of the district youth sports court was also the only candidate for the post.

As usual, the district council of the Bavarian Football Association (BFV) was well prepared and went extremely smoothly.

The club delegates of the Donau/Isar football district elected their committee members unanimously and otherwise had no sensitive issues to discuss.

The long-standing district chairman Horst Kaindl took over the preparation and implementation of the event on an interim basis, since the previous incumbent Florian Riepl surprisingly resigned in February for professional reasons.

As the elected successor, Elisabeth Bauer is now taking over the presidency of the Donau/Isar football district.

The mother of two adult sons is a member of FC Tegernbach (Pfaffenhofen district) and played football for 13 years.

Since 2005 she has passed the coaching license and two years later also the referee examination.

In the meantime, the office clerk has started and stopped more than 500 games and has been an assessor in the district youth sports court since 2010, where she took over the presidency in 2018.

In her application speech to the delegates, the new district chairwoman asked for permission to use all her knowledge, strength and energy to support the clubs in the Donau/Isar district in the future and to get new things off the ground.

Elisabeth Bauer promised that she was not a flash in the pan, nobody who ducked away when the sound got rough or there was a headwind.

At her side, the proven team from the past four years was re-elected.

Ludwig Schmidt as district director, Stefan Erl as district youth leader and Birgit Schauer as district officer for women and girls.

District referee chairman Hans Kroll was also confirmed in office again by the delegates.

Two new faces are to be appointed by the BFV Presidium after the district council.

Jonas Beinhofer is to succeed Josef Bauer as chairman of the district sports court, and Norbert Thurner is to replace Alois Kindseder as honorary officer.
