Eliminated by Senegal on Tuesday evening (1-0, 3-1 on pens), Egypt denounced, via its federation, several acts of violence, throwing of projectiles

The meeting between Senegal and Egypt was more stormy than ever on Tuesday evening in Diamniadio.

Indeed, in addition to the lasers pointed at Mohamed Salah and his teammates during the meeting, several acts of violence and the throwing of projectiles were reported by the Egyptian Football Federation.

She posted several photos on her Instagram account, showing a stoned bus, "Fuck You Salah" banners, and abusive gestures with middle fingers.

The Pharaohs immediately announced to file a complaint against the Senegalese federation.

In their press release the Egyptians declare: “The Egyptian team was subjected to racism after the appearance of offensive banners in the stands of the stadium for the players, in particular Mohamed Salah, the captain.

All documented by photos and videos attached to the complaint.

In this boiling atmosphere, with a Senegalese public present in the new Abdoulaye-Wade stadium six hours before the start of the match, Egypt squandered its lead (1-0).

As in the final of the African Cup of Nations, it was then on penalties that qualification was decided.

Three of the four Egyptian fencers missed their penalties and the African vice-champion was painfully eliminated.
