Marzling

– Last November, Marzling's coach Thomas Zellermeyr announced that he wanted to look for a new challenge in the summer after seven years.

Zellermeyr, whose assistant coach Florian Wolf had already said goodbye to FC Ismaning in the summer, had no prospects at SVM.

The participation in training is too low, the prospects without their own A youth too mediocre that something would change in the medium term.

Now the 47-year-old has found what he is looking for.

Together with the coach of the second team Matthias Kugler, who will take on the second role there, Zellermeyr will switch to FC Eitting.

The experienced coach will succeed Markus Weber at the district league, which is currently only three points behind BC Attaching in the relegation rank and still has good chances of promotion to the district league.

Coach and club will end their cooperation after differences about the successor to his outgoing assistant coach.

Zellermeyr, who also preferred Eitting to other alternatives, is looking forward to the new step: “The overall package convinced me.

The distance to my home, the ambition and the concept in the club.” FC Eitting wants to focus more on youth for the new season.

In the summer, eleven kickers from the youth department are to be included in the team.

“And anyone who knows me knows that I enjoy developing young players, backed by an experienced core.

The goal will be to integrate them.”

One thing is clear: Zellermeyr has high ambitions: "No matter where I am: My goal is never to bob around in midfield in any way." The situation would of course be different if Eittinger were to make the climb: "If we go to another Play time, I'll definitely watch.

I would be happy for everyone if they still move up.”
