Danny Abdia provided tonight (Wednesday-Thursday) a not-so-bad game personally with 8 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and a 26-minute block - in Washington's 110-127 victory over Orlando.
Abdia rose from the bench with the caption "Am Yisrael Chai" on his shoes as a message of reinforcement due to the wave of terror in the country.
The Israeli, who was selected in 9th place in the draft, presented a bad shooting evening (3 of 10 from the field, 1 of 6 from three), but again showed good ability when it comes to defense, and managing the game and leading the ball.

Tomasz Storensky, the Czech center who joined the Wizards about a month ago from San Antonio, spoke about Abdia's game: "Danny is an underappreciated morale. He had some nice assists tonight. He has game vision and is high enough to see above the defense. "Experience and awe of different defensive covers. I talk to him about situations I see as a coordinator. He's been playing great lately and he's very diverse."
Storensky himself handed out 13 assists per game and picked up 10 rebounds, but finished without points.
Storensky on Abdia: "Danny is an underappreciated morale. He had some nice assists tonight. He has game vision and is high enough to see above the defense. He will get better as he gains experience and sees different defensive covers. I talk to him about situations I see as a coordinator. He's been playing great lately and he's very diverse. "

The NBC website commented mainly on Abdia's defensive ability: "Coach Wes Ansald Jr. said something interesting before the game about the way Danny Abdia's defense went this season. Abdia was really good at the start of the season, then went through some ups and downs, and recently started shining again in this part Of the parquet.Ansald Jr. gave a very logical explanation, that Abdia was so impressive at an early stage that he was asked to do much more, take on more difficult tasks and bear more responsibility.
"There was an adjustment period, but Abdia again made an impact on both sides of the pitch. He had a really nice block on RJ Hampton in the first half. Abdia was one of the key contributors to the defensive effort that kept the Magic at just 41.7% from the field."
