Seven and a half months before the tournament itself, the teams are now drawn into eight houses while 29 teams have currently secured their place in the competition.

The 2022 World Cup draw is currently taking place (Friday) in Qatar, where the tournament will also be held from November 21 to December 18 this year.
The world champion France will of course be first class, as will the host Qatar.
The 32 teams will be drawn into eight houses by four teams each.
Two teams will advance from each house to the quarterfinals and from there all games will be held by a knockout of one decisive game.
The only restrictions that exist in the lottery are that no house can include more than two teams from the same continent (except Europe) and from Europe there can be no more than two teams in the same house.
