The Israeli team in instrumental gymnastics successfully continued its participation in the World Cup in Baku today (Friday), after Andrei Medvedev and Artium Dolgofyat reached the final of the jumping table.
Medvedev, 31, a bronze medalist from last year's world championships in jumping, achieved a high average score of 14.833 points and was ranked in the qualifiers in first place overall.
On the same device, Olympic champion Artium Dolgofiat achieved an average score of 14.366 points and rose to the last eight from sixth place.
The 24-year-old Dolgofiat, who only reached the final yesterday in his powerful ground device, also participated in the nearby horse qualifiers, where he set 13.766 points, but in which he failed to reach the final.
Alex Miakinin advanced to the tension final from third place overall, having scored 14,233 points.
Lehi Raz, who represented Israel at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, achieved a score of 12,266 points on the beam, 11,433 points on the ground and did not reach the finals.
