According to BCA coach Enes Mehmedovic, returnees to Corona still have to find their old form again.

Freising/Au

- On Saturday from 3 p.m. on the soccer field of the Attachingen sports facility, the BCA and TSV Au will meet for the third time in this district league season.

The reason for this is not pretty.

In the first leg in Au on Matchday 5, two players hit their heads so hard that the referee had to stop the game in the 84th minute when the score was 1-1.

In the replay at the beginning of October, the two unlucky ones Daniele Chezzi (Attaching) and Josip Andrik (Au) were able to be there themselves and experienced a 4:1 win for the BCA.

The second in the table is again the clear favorite against Hallertauer on Saturday.

"We want to play to win, but that will also be difficult because Au are a strong team," says BCA coach Enes Mehmedovic.

In addition, the Attachinger have had massive personnel worries since the beginning of the second half of the season.

Because some players who have recovered from a corona infection would theoretically be able to play, but often have significant fitness problems.

"That means we have to make sure that we bridge the games with our small squad until we get our players back in reasonable shape," explains Mehmedovic: "It's kind of a lottery at the moment.

You never know how long the players can keep up the pace and how long they can hold out.” That also explains the rather mediocre performances of the second-placed team in the second half of the season.

They won 3-0 against Moosburg at the bottom, but the performance wasn't really convincing.

And last week at SC Kirchasch it was even the fifth defeat of the season.

Auer coach relies on compact defense

TSV trainer Christian Hobmeier therefore expects a highly motivated host who wants to redeem the shame: "But I don't think that Attaching is bursting with self-confidence after the last results.

Maybe we can take advantage of the moment and trip up a weakening favourite.” After winning the point in the home game against Walpertskirchen, his team is in a little flow.

"But we won't run 'Hurra die Gams' forward, we'll come from a compact defense because Attaching is very strong and has some good individual players," promises the coach.
