The draw for the finals of the 22nd edition of the World Cup, which will be hosted by Qatar from November 21 to December 18, 2022, was held today in the Qatari capital, Doha, with the participation of 32 teams.

According to the draw, the participating teams were divided into 8 groups, the first of which included the “host” teams of Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal and the Netherlands, while the second group placed the Iranian team, along with each of England and the United States, and qualified for the European play-off from among the teams of “Wales, Ukraine or Scotland”.

The third group included the teams of Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland, the fourth teams France, "UAE, Australia or Peru", Denmark, Tunisia, fifth Spain, "Costa Rica or New Zealand", Germany and Japan.

Belgium, Canada, Morocco and Croatia were also included in Group F, while Group Seven included Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon, and Group H included Portugal, Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea.

So far, 28 teams have qualified for the World Cup, in addition to the host Qatar team, and the last three qualifying cards for the World Cup will be decided at a later time through the supplementary supplement.

The draw was preceded by dividing the 32 teams into 4 levels based on the FIFA classification issued last Thursday. The first level included the teams of Qatar, Brazil, Belgium, France, Argentina, England, Spain and Portugal, while the second level included Mexico, the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Uruguay, Switzerland and the states. United States and Croatia.

The third level included Senegal, Iran, Japan, Morocco, Serbia, Poland, South Korea and Tunisia, while the fourth level included Saudi Arabia, Ghana, Ecuador, Cameroon and Canada, in addition to the team qualified from the first track in the European playoff "Wales, Ukraine or Scotland" and the team qualified from the first world playoff "UAE or Australia" Or Peru” and the qualified team from the second world play-off “Costa Rica or New Zealand”.

During the draw, it was taken into account that no two teams from the same continental federation should be placed in one group, with the exception of the European teams, but no more than two European teams in one group.
