Denklingen coach Markus Ansorge has modified the game of his eleven after the recent loss of points.

The team meets FC Kosova Munich on Sunday.

Denklingen – Last week, the VfL Denklingen footballers asked their coach the system question.

"Do we have a plan B?" It didn't take long for Markus Ansorge to calm the agitated souls.

The coach did not remain unaware that the competition in the southern district league has meanwhile adjusted to his team.

In the first half of the season everything was easy.

The competition came to Denklingen to really lather up the newcomer – and it ended in their undoing.

Because Ansorge had perfected his team's switching game.

Winning the ball in his own half gave the newcomer the decisive advantage that the opponent had moved up and hardly guarded his own half of the game.

"We always had a lot of rooms," Ansorge remembers the glamorous early days.

In the meantime, the opponents have learned something new.

At the start of the rest of the season against Pöcking, almost everything was as it used to be, but BCF Wolfratshausen demonstrated on its narrow artificial turf how VfL can be dealt with.

The BCF entrenched themselves in their own half and narrowed the spaces, Denklingen lost three points and a week later in the 4-4 draw against TSV Großhadern two more points because the rival from the Munich suburb had created a suitable weapon to harm the favorite.

"We got the goals from set pieces," Ansorge analyzed the reason for the many goals conceded.

"They reacted a fraction faster than we did."

Denklingen takes on FC Kosova Munich on Sunday

With the knowledge of his own vulnerability, the coach prepared his team for the challenge on Sunday (2.30 p.m.) at FC Kosova.

The artificial turf on Kronwinkler Strasse in Munich has the dubious reputation of being the smallest in all of Upper Bavaria.

Ansorge had his Penzberg coaching colleague Martin Wagner explain exactly what his team was expecting there, who lost 4-2 to the Kosovars two weeks ago.

"We have to accept the situation there," he hopes, so that his kickers don't make the same mistakes made by Penzberg, who only started to fight back after being 4-0 down.

The VfL coach expects "a difficult game in any case", which is not only due to the technically experienced opponents, who have strengthened their ranks significantly over the winter.

His team now has to get used to the role of the favorite being chased.

"They all want to hit us now," he says.

As I said, it was no different last summer, only his kickers had nothing to lose and started playing carefree.

In the meantime, the newcomer has hoarded capital and wants to defend it.

“We may be cramping up a bit,” said Ansorge.

He suspects that the recent point losses also have mental reasons.

That's why he tries against Kosova from the start with those kickers who are currently more in attack mode because they still want to conquer their regular place in the team.

Stephan Schilcher, Johannes Greif and Tobias Schelkle, whose substitution against Großhadern helped turn a 1:4 deficit into a 4:4, have good prospects of starting the game.

Because Ansorge has long had a plan B in its pocket.
