After 4:2 against Rohrbach, SVA Palzing regains hope in the relegation battle.

Palzing

– The captain was on board again.

After his broken hand and subsequent operation, Marcel Radlmaier returned directly to the starting XI of SVA Palzing.

In the 4-2 victory in the basement duel against TSV Rohrbach, the midfielder restored his team's stability that had been lacking in the previous games.

One who benefited from this was Ivan Rakonic.

The striker doesn't always belong to coach Sepp Summerer's first eleven, and against Rohrbach he wasn't even impressed by the snow and rain mix.

It was Rakonic who gave the home team the lead in the eleventh minute.

He was the quickest to react after a too-short return from an opposing defender and tipped the ball over the line.

A few minutes later, Louis Goldbrunner headed in from a corner to make it 2-0.

In this phase, there were many indications of the first SVA victory after eleven league games without a win.

But TSV Rohrbach also needs points against relegation.

In the middle of the first half, the guests increased, the Palzinger defense was now challenged.

Nothing changed in the score at first.

"It was extremely important that we went into the break with the lead," said Summerer.

However, two injury-related changes worried him.

During the first half he had to replace Tobi Wirth, "our bench on the right-hand side", because of a torn muscle fiber.

Central defender Onur Tas also had to go down during the break due to muscular problems.

Since the midfield with Radlmaier and Goldbrunner was very present, the two-goal lead went into the final phase.

This was where things got turbulent.

Rohrbach shortened the lead through Michael Humbach (77') before Rakonic responded a few minutes later with the 3-1 (82').

The guests from Hallertau tried everything and came back, because Hannes Frank converted a penalty in the 90th minute.

But Palzing invested a lot.

And when Noah Staudt scored the fourth goal for SVA in stoppage time, the people of Palzing cried out their joy.

"It was so important that we got three points.

If it had ended in a draw, our morale would have taken a hit," said Summerer.

The Palzinger ended a series of eleven games without a win with only two points and are only two points behind the relegation places.

The hope of staying up is alive.
