The levels of admiration won by athletes from all disciplines may reach beyond the normal limit, and sometimes reach real risk.
Race driver Hailey Digan, who is hailed as a rising star of the Naskar world has had to deal with explicit threats on the life of her partner Chase Caber, who also drove Naskar races.
The 20-year-old racing driver uploaded a video to her YouTube page yesterday (Monday) in which she recounted the chain of events: "When I returned home, I discovered that they had left me a note in which the writer declared his love for me and claimed that he and he were twin souls."
From that moment on, Digan claims she began to receive a flood of harassment that caused her to even cancel her participation in a race she was scheduled to take part in last week.

Digan heard recordings of that man threatening her partner: "I swear to the food god ** that if you do not leave South Carolina before sunset you will see my face, which will be the last you see in your eyes. I promise you that."
Digan shared in the video that police are already involved and that the couple have stepped up security around their home.
Kieber, the attacked partner, addressed the same stalker in the video Digan uploaded: "If you see it, please - I'm not threatening or doing anything like that. I'm just saying: it's over. It's not real. Please leave it and release."
